The road to Artist Point (the final section of SR 542) and Highway 20 (starting at Ross Dam Trailhead) are both closed for the season.

Visiting Washington State for the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

One of Washington's most scenic highways - Chuckanut Drive - starts in those rich agricultural fields, and winds up along the water, right into Bellingham! 

For those spending the night in Bellingham or surrounding Whatcom County in March or April (dates vary), add visiting this festival that is about 30 minutes South of Bellingham as a must on your list!

Over Memorial Day Weekend, 500 teams of eight compete in a relay of seven different sports. Since 1973, this iconic race begins at the Mount Baker Ski area and ends at Bellingham’s Marine Park.
