Sip and Stay: Hotels with Beer Packages in Bellingham

With so many craft breweries to explore in Bellingham, WA, a day trip just won't do. You need an overnighter. Preferably, at a location near beer. Even better if there are a couple cold ones waiting for you upon arrival. Fortunately, a handful of Bellingham hotels (and at least one Airbnb) are here to provide. Seeking a vacation rental attached to a brewery? Easy. A shuttle ride to and from the breweries of your choice? We’ve got it. Local beers on tap at the hotel bar? Done. These accommodations are the place to stay for beer travelers visiting Bellingham.

Best Western Heritage Inn

Tap Trail Package

Imagine, after checking into your North Bellingham (not far from the airport) accommodations, being whisked away by shuttle to the Bellingham Tap Trail location of your choice. No car needed. You’ll choose wisely, of course, from the 20+ taphouses and breweries around town. But if you need some help, Best Western staff will “provide you with tips on the best uses of your two shuttle trips.” That’s right, two shuttle trips. They’ll drop you off and pick you up, effectively acting as your designated driver for the evening. My suggestion? Hop a ride to downtown Bellingham for the highest concentration of Tap Trail locations. Snag a few stamps on the Tap Trail Passport, walking between nearby downtown locations. One could begin at Structures and work their way across town to Gruff and Boundary Bay. Or try the Melvin-Menace-Elizabeth Station triangle. The possibilities are endless.

Four Points by Sheraton Bellingham

Best Brews Package

https://www.facebook.com/FourPointsBellingham/posts/636072863258504:0 Four Points by Sheraton is the place to stay if you want to be close to the action. Located less than a mile from the center of downtown Bellingham, the Four Points offers easy access to breweries and taprooms. They also offer a Best Brews package, which includes two local craft brews every day of your stay. So start your night off right before heading out on the town, or save ‘em for a nightcap later on. The onsite Chinuk restaurant features a dozen on-tap brews to choose from. For more hotel specials — from Seahawks packages to whale watching — check out our Special Packages page.

Chrysalis Inn & Spa

Bed & Brew Package

https://www.instagram.com/p/BYWd924hWyD/?taken-by=keenansatthepier Stay at the Chrysalis for Bellingham Bay views and brews. When you add their $30 Bed and Brew Package to any room, you’ll receive two pints of local beer on tap from Keenan’s at the Pier, two 22-oz bottles of Boundary Bay Brewery IPA, two-pint glasses from Wander Brewing, two chocolate truffles from Evolve and a Bellingham Tap Trail map. Sip your Keenan’s brews at sunset to watch the sun go down from one of the best vantage points around.

Airbnb

Cozy Micro-Brewery

[caption id="attachment_58272" align="aligncenter" width="500"] Firepit at Stone's Throw Brewing[/caption] Our list would not be complete without including this incredible space. An Airbnb like no other in town. Located in the house attached to Stone’s Throw Brewery, this one brings the brewery to you. With all the comforts of home and a brewery in the backyard, what more could you ask for? Guests have called this 3-bed, 1-bath home on the edge of historic Fairhaven “probably the coziest Airbnb ever”. But its unique, central location is the main selling point. After checking in (a bartender will greet you with keys), follow the murmur of voices into the taproom for a taste. Find something you like? Have another — you’re staying at the brewery. Or wander into town for Fairhaven’s fine selection of dining and drinking establishments. One favorite is The Filling Station, a fun burger and beer joint just a few blocks away.

Heliotrope Hotel

Growler Special

[embed]https://www.instagram.com/p/BbCxKGDh6gt/?taken-by=heliotropehotelpnw[/embed] The Heliotrope Hotel is one of Bellingham's newest boutique hotels. The rooms are incredible, the stay is unique, and you are welcome to bring your pets and your bikes. The best part about the location of this hotel is that it's walking distance from both Menace Brewing and Melvin Brewing. Both breweries are less than a ten-minute walk from the Heliotrope. For guests, they frequently partner with Bellingham breweries and you can find an empty growler included in your room. Currently, you can find a Boundary Bay Brewing growler in every fridge, and it's only $8 to fill it up. Growler specials rotate between local breweries.
