Celebrating Excellence in Downtown Bellingham on Monday, December 16, 2024
The Downtown Bellingham Partnership will honor twelve individuals, organizations, and spaces that have made significant contributions to the vibrancy and vitality of Downtown Bellingham at 2024 Scepter Awards ceremony. This year’s honorees will be celebrated at a festive ceremony on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Wild Buffalo House of Music, where members of the public are invited to attend.
These awards highlight the often unseen or unsung work that continues to shape Downtown Bellingham, fostering a thriving community for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.

The celebration will feature a lip-sync showcase by local “Bellebrities,” such as Layne Carter (Aslan Brewing), Mo Green and Daija Heyward (2 BB Productions), Kevin Coleman (SeaFeast), Kelsey Riley (Foundation Restoration), and members of the Downtown Bellingham Partnership team. Guests will enjoy complimentary light bites from ChebaHut, a full cash bar, and the excitement of a 50/50 raffle.
The Scepter Awards ceremony serves as an opportunity to reflect on the resilience and creativity that define Downtown Bellingham while supporting the ongoing work of the Downtown Bellingham Partnership. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Partnership champions the health and vitality of downtown through initiatives such as public art installations, street cleaning services, business advocacy, and cultural programming like Downtown Sounds.
"This year’s honorees represent the heart and soul of our downtown community," remarks Lindsey Payne Johnstone, the Downtown Bellingham Partnership’s Executive Director. "Their contributions ensure that Downtown Bellingham continues to be a dynamic and inspiring place to live, work, and gather. We are thrilled to recognize and celebrate this incredible work."
Tickets and Event Information
Tickets are available now for $25 per attendee (must be 21+), including access to the ceremony, light bites, and event activities. The Wild Buffalo House of Music will have full bar service and will also honor 15% off bar tabs for card-carrying INSIDER members, a loyalty program managed by the Partnership that offers deals and discounts at over 30 downtown businesses. Proceeds from ticket and raffle sales will benefit the Downtown Bellingham Partnership and its programs.
