The Sylvia Center for the Arts (Sylvia Center) is raising funds to help expand and sustain the arts community in Whatcom County by implementing the following through the “Sylvia Rising” fundraiser.
The fundraiser began on March 19, 2021 and within the first four days achieved 25% of their $50,000 goal. Their goal is to reach $50,000 in donations by April 18, 2021, thirty days after launching the campaign, so they can begin to build, hire, and create.
The Sylvia Center has survived the pandemic through the community’s support, live-streaming performances, and sheer tenacity. But, like many nonprofits, is feeling the repercussions of not having community members in their space.
By donating or sharing the campaign, you are helping the Sylvia Center rise up and return in a stronger place to fulfill their mission in the brighter days ahead.
