Join Sustainable Connections as they celebrate a Valentine’s Day full of love, whimsy, and waffles – all locally, of course!
Valentine’s Day is culturally associated with chocolate, roses, and Hallmark sayings galore. But to Sasquatch, there’s one thing above all else that says ‘I love you’: waffles. Yes, waffles – those delicious, comforting concoctions that grace brunch tables and breakfast-in-beds alike. This Valentine’s Day, Sasquatch is exploring the best waffles that Whatcom County has to offer. Follow along on their journey to find delicious and unique ways to express love – all in waffle form!
When you think, shop, and waffle locally, you’re investing in your community, supporting your friends and neighbors, and bringing more joy, delight, and silliness into the world – and we could all use a little more of that! And while Sasquatch is all about love and waffles, Sustainable Connections’ Communications Director Amy Vergillo shares a little more about what love means. “Participating in your local economy is its own kind of relationship,” she explains. “You give, and you also receive. Whatcom County is full of these connections that are built on a shared love of community, the environment, and good food, of course!”
Follow along on Sustainable Connections’ Facebook and Instagram pages, where you’ll be able to find Sasquatch at some of their favorite waffle spots and enter to win giveaways.
