Adoptable Puppies Play in First Annual Event at Menace Brewing
In Whatcom County over 500 puppies and dogs are abandoned and in need of homes each year. To help these animals find their forever home, Menace Brewing is partnering with Happy Tails Happy Homes to host the first annual Bellingham Puppy Bowl. The adoption event will take place at noon on Sunday, February 9. This family-friendly game will showcase two teams of adoptable puppies as they play a puppy version of the Super Bowl.
"Happy Tails Happy Homes is thrilled to team up with Menace Brewing for the First Annual Puppy Bowl in Bellingham,” said Jenna Samora, Board President, Happy Tails Happy Homes. “This event is a fantastic way to showcase some of our incredible adoptable pups while bringing joy to our wonderful community. As a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, fostering, and rehoming pets in need, we rely on the support of people to adopt, foster, or volunteer. Together, I hope we can give these animals the loving homes they deserve.”
“We have been wanting to host a Puppy Bowl adoption event for a long time,” said Ryan Flood, owner, Menace Brewing. “We are excited to partner with Happy Tails Happy Homes to feature furry friends who need a home. The work Happy Tails does is so vital for our community.”
Doug’s Burgers, located next door to Menace Brewing, will be donating 50% of all profits from the day to Happy Tails Happy Homes.
“Doug’s Burgers is very grateful for the dedication of the volunteers and foster parents of Happy Tails and we want to support their efforts to find forever homes for the puppies and dogs in their care,” said Matt King, owner of Doug’s Burgers. “And my own pup Doug is very excited to cheer on the puppies playing football at Menace!”

About Happy Tails Happy Homes
Happy Tails Happy Homes launched in 2011 when two long-term animal rescuers and advocates, Vicki Niles and Nicki Larson, joined forces to create a rescue that took in the underdogs. Too many times, in their experience working with different organizations, they saw animals with medical or behavioral needs turned away. Happy Tails Happy Homes works hard to take in specifically the ones who need us most; the dogs who are overlooked by others and need a second chance.
