The Habitat Store’s 2024 Trashion Show: An Evening of Eco-Chic Elegance

Celebrate sustainability and uplift affordable housing at Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County’s Trashion Show at Fishermen’s Pavilion on Friday, June 7th at 6:00 PM

Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County is fashioning an evening of Eco-Chic Elegance for their 5th Annual Trashion Show. This year’s standalone event will feature a full runway show, a silent auction of artfully upcycled items, raffles of local gifts, games, and more!

Designers have been tasked with creating stunningly sustainable outfits made of at least 75% recycled materials which emulate this year’s theme of Eco-Chic Elegance. They will compete to impress the judges and audience for a chance to win cash prizes of up to $500! Designer spots are still available, and anyone with a knack for creativity is encouraged to submit an application by May 31st.

This evening of fashion and fun will kick off with a reception at 6:00 PM with the main event starting at 7:00 PM. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and a food and drink voucher is included with a VIP ticket. General admission tickets are $25 ($20 with the early bird discount) and VIP tickets are $75 ($65 with the early bird discount). Early bird ticket pricing is available through April 30th!

In the name of creative sustainability and fighting fast fashion, attendees are also encouraged to donate used clothing at the event. Each bag of clothing will be redeemable for a raffle ticket or a Habitat Store coupon.

Proceeds from the Trashion Show will directly support Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build affordable housing for Whatcom County families.

Visit hfhwhatcom.org/trashion-show to purchase tickets for the event and find more information about submitting a design.

About Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County

Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County is a locally governed affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We are a non-profit organization committed to eliminating substandard housing through the building of safe, decent, affordable homes with our partner families.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
