The Community Boating Center Collaborates with the Schooner Zodiac to host Beats on the Bay, a Floating Concert on Bellingham Bay

Join us for three evenings of on-the-water concerts this summer to watch our favorite bands perform aboard the Schooner Zodiac in Harris Bay. The lineup includes: Rubatano Marimba (8/20), Inside Strait (8/23), Miles Ebony and the Deep Cuts (9/03).

Pick a boat from our fleet, including kayaks, SUPs, rowboats, or bring your own boat and paddle out to see the show! Tickets for our boat rentals are $30 and can be reserved at boatingcenter.org. If you’d like to enjoy the comforts of a slightly larger boat, tickets to be on the deck of the Schooner Zodiac can be purchased through their site at https://schoonerzodiac.com/floating-concerts/

The show starts at 6:00pm and we’ll be off the water by 8:00pm. Please note that these events will be canceled with sustained winds over 14 mph or heavy rain. If canceled, due to conditions, full refunds will be offered.

No drugs or alcohol may be consumed before or during the show on CBC boats. PFDs must be worn at all times!

If you have any inquiries about this event, please email info@boatingcenter.org. Follow along for more information on our Instagram. If you are unable to get a spot on a boat, folks can attend from shore with a suggested donation of $10 per person to the Community Boating Center.

Proceeds from the event go to support the Community Boating Center. Reserve a boat rental at www.boatingcenter.org.

The Community Boating Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit located in Fairhaven, Washington. Their mission is to foster small-watercraft education, access, safe recreation, and marine stewardship on Bellingham Bay. The CBC was founded by a core of local small-watercraft enthusiasts in 2006 and began services to the public in 2007. The CBC is not a club. There are no memberships and no dues. Programs and services are available to all. For additional information, visit www.boatingcenter.org

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
