Spring arrives April 8-9 with the annual Easter Celebration at Whatcom County’s Bellewood Farms & Distillery.
Tractor train rides through the apple orchard and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny – all free – will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 8, and Sunday, April 9. Both days also will include live music by Lynden-based Queen’s Bluegrass from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bellewood Farms is located at 6140 Guide Meridian, within seven miles of Bellingham, Ferndale and Lynden.
“A day in the country is a wonderful time for families and couples to enjoy nature’s beauty with a beautiful view of snow-covered Mt. Baker,” said Eric Abel, president of Bellewood Farms. “The buds are forming on our apple trees and we may see blossoms on some of them, all with Mt. Baker as a majestic backdrop.”
Children 12 and younger can play fun games along the Bunny Trail ($5 admission fee per child) while adults may prefer hard cider, beer on top and farm-made spirits in the distillery’s tasting room. And everyone can enjoy tossing bags in a friendly game of cornhole.
The Ten Mile Café will offer its full menu, plus made-from-scratch cider donuts. And anyone catching spring fever can bring home some plant starts.
