Reservation holders must agree to abide by all COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines from the State’s Healthy Washington Roadmap to Recovery Plan in place on the date of their reservation.
Reservations can be made by calling the Parks Administrative Office at 360-778-5850. More information about Whatcom County park shelters and picnic areas can be found here.
Reservations for indoor facilities will not open until later spring. Reservations at Lighthouse Marine Park also remain closed due to recreational travel restrictions at the US/Canadian border.
Applications for events that require a Special Event Permit will be accepted and reviewed on a case by case basis. Applications must be submitted 90 days in advance of proposed event and applicants will be required to include a written COVID-19 safety plan that demonstrates compliance with all COVID-19 guidelines from the State.
Proposed events will be evaluated based on their impact to the park facility and the public. The health and safety of those using parks and trails is our highest priority and current usage is at a record high. As such, applicants are encouraged to consider avoiding event proposals during peak usage days and times. Information on special event permits and the application process can be found here.
