Father’s Day Car Show Offers Free Family Fun at Bellewood Farms

An opportunity to admire more than 200 classic and modified cars and trucks with Mt. Baker in the background will be presented Sunday, June 19 during the eighth-annual Father’s Day Car Show at Whatcom County’s Bellewood Farms & Distillery

Presented from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. by Gear Heads of Whatcom County, admission is free for spectators. Red Sky Riders will play “Americana Bluegrass” music from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

“The Father’s Day Car Show is a free family outing that appeals to all ages,” said Eric Abel, president of Bellewood Farms & Distillery.

Dads will smile even more with samples of farm-made apple spirits and the Bellewood Farms cafe and bakery, featuring eight selections of fresh pies to take home, will be open.

Car and truck registration costs $20 at https://bellewoodfarms.com/events. Twenty-six trophies will be presented at 2 p.m. Drawings for more than $2,000 in prizes will be conducted during the show.

Net proceeds will benefit the Bellingham Food Bank, Whatcom Humane Society and Vietnam Veterans of America.

The 62-acre Bellewood Farms & Distillery grows 22 varieties of apples at 6140 Guide Meridian, between East Hemmi and Ten Mile roads and about seven miles away from Bellingham, Ferndale and Lynden. For more information, call (360) 318-7720 or visit www.bellewoodfarms.com.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
