Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism Sponsors All-Star Game at Joe Martin Field and Broadcast on MLB Network - July 17, 2024

Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism (BWCT) is excited to sponsor the upcoming West Coast League (WCL) All-Star Game at Joe Martin Field in partnership with the Bellingham Bells. The All-Star Game on July 17 will showcase talented players representing each of the league’s teams and will be broadcast live on the MLB network, the MLB app, and MLB.TV.

The two-day extravaganza begins on July 16 with a Community Champions Baseball Game benefiting the Max Higbee Center. The All-Star Game on July 17 opens with family-friendly fun including a DJ, bounce-house, and food trucks. First pitch is at 6:35 p.m. PST with a fireworks show to conclude the evening. A full schedule of events can be found at https://bellinghambells.com/2024-all-star-game/

Stephanie Morrell, General Manager of the Bellingham Bells, expressed her excitement, stating, “We are beyond thrilled to be hosting the All-Star Game this summer. We’ve collaborated closely with the league to enhance the event’s impact and showcase the league’s outstanding product and talent. I couldn’t be happier for our fans and our community that the WCL is trusting us with this event.”

As a primary title sponsor, BWCT supported the competitive bid process to win the right to host the game at Joe Martin Stadium and offered funds toward event hospitality. BWCT is also running a Bellingham getaway sweepstakes to drive additional interest in our region.

According to Destinations International’s Economic Impact Calculator, visitors dining, exploring, and overnighting while in town for the All-Star Game are expected to generate nearly $300K in economic impact. The event also showcases Bellingham and surrounding areas as a fantastic host for high-profile destination sporting events.

Tickets for the 2024 West Coast League All-Star Game are still available at www.bellstickets.com. For more details about the All-Star Game and related festivities, visit www.bellinghambells.com.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
