Bellingham International Airport COVID-19 Testing Site Closed Nov. 15-16 Due To Storm Damage

The Whatcom County Health Department’s drive-through COVID-19 testing site at the Bellingham International Airport, operated through a partnership with Northwest Laboratory, is closed Monday, Nov. 15 and Tuesday, Nov. 16 due to extreme weather and damage to testing site equipment.

Other laboratory-based testing sites are still open, including Northwest Laboratory’s testing site on Meridian street. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or exposure is encouraged to call the Health Department at 360-778-6075 for help scheduling an appointment. Other local testing providers are listed on Whatcom County’s COVID-19 testing page

The airport testing site will also have the following holiday-related schedule changes during the next several weeks:

  • Nov. 24: Closing at 11 a.m.
  • Nov. 25: Closed
  • Dec. 24: Closed
  • Dec. 25: Closed
  • Dec. 31: Closing at 11 a.m.
  • Jan. 1: Closed
