BAAY Presents: Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night

Bellingham Arts Academy for Youth (BAAY) presents Twelfth Night. This Shakespearean romantic comedy follows twin siblings, Viola and Sebastian, on an adventure of mistaken identity. It’s a story full of shenanigans and fun for the whole family, performed by BAAY senior students ages 13-17! Evening performances will be held at the BAAY Theatre, and matinees will be held at Maritime Heritage Park. Grab a seat, pack a picnic, and enjoy the show! Admission by donation — all proceeds go to BAAY’s student scholarship fund.

Note: In the event of rain, the matinees will be held at the BAAY Theatre instead of the park.

Founded in 2006, Bellingham Arts Academy for Youth (BAAY) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching children’s lives through the exploration of the arts. We believe that the arts are an essential component of education. We enroll over 1500 children ages 5-17 annually in our EduArts and Theatre programs, and provide over $40,000 per year in tuition waivers to remove financial barriers to participation. Learn how you can support the sustainability of this work at baay.org/support.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
