2nd Annual Bellingham Vegan Restaurant Week: September 20th, 2021 – September 26th, 2021

Bellingham Vegan Restaurant Week is a weeklong celebration of vegan dining in our fabulous city! Plant-based eating is more widespread than ever in our community. People are looking for delicious plant-based dining options for their health, for the climate, and for animal welfare.

We envision this week as an exploration of the creativity and diversity of vegan dining. We ask participating restaurants to offer at least one vegan menu option during the week. Some of the mouthwatering options from last year included Falafel Fried Eggplant Piccada from Kebab Casual, Crispy Curry Poutine from Simmering Tava, and Crispy Potato Flautas from New Mexico Tamale.

Bellingham Vegan Restaurant Week intentionally coincides with Bellingham Climate Action Week! Our community will be seeking ways to minimize their personal impact on our planet and choosing plant-based options is one way to do that. This is a great way for our local restaurants to take action for our climate.

Restaurants that register will be:

•Featured on our website.

•Mentioned on our radio show/podcast (must register by 8/23)

•Special post on our social media.

•Featured on the FB event page.

•Featured in IG/FB stories leading up to event.

•Entered into the “Best Of” contest that will feature several categories that will be voted by our community. This year we will have some separate categories for non-vegan restaurants!

About Bellingham Veg Fest: Bellingham Veg Fest is a local nonprofit and part of our mission is to support local small business who strive to offer vegan options and products.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
