Local Lovers Valentine’s Day Tour in Bellingham

Sustainable Connections announces a Local Lovers Walking Tour for Valentine’s Day! On Monday, Feb. 13, celebrate the people and community you love with four fantastic local businesses in downtown Bellingham and leave perfectly prepared for the best Valentine's you’ve ever had. Participants will spend time getting to know some of Bellingham’s loveliest businesses including the celestial baker Gathered Confections, flower goddess Pozie by Natalie, crafting wizards Ragfinery, and relaxation gurus Veritas Massage. Everyone will leave with treats and tips for the big day: decorated heart cookies, a terrarium made with the “love plants” of Japan – marimo moss balls, Valentine cards, and the low down on how to give a great massage. The tour will take place at three different locations downtown, so dress warm to stay cozy as you walk to and fro. Snacks and beverages will be provided throughout the evening; all details can be located on the Sustainable Connections website. Share your local love with the ones you love! The tour starts at the Sustainable Connections office at 1701 Ellis St., Ste 221, Bellingham. The cost is $25 and participants must pre-register. Visit www.sustainableconnections.org or call 360-647-7093.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
