A spring weekend full of family activities and entertainment will be featured April 3-4 during the Easter Celebration at Whatcom County’s Bellewood Farms & Distillery.
Live music, apple bin tractor rides though the orchard, photos with the Easter Bunny – all free – will be offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 3, and Sunday, April 4. Bellewood Farms is located at 6140 Guide Meridian, about halfway between Bellingham and Lynden.
“Spring is a beautiful time here,” said Eric Abel, president of Bellewood Farms. “With many activities in our wonderful fresh air and COVID-19 protocols inside and outside, people of all ages can feel safe, too.”
Live performances of Irish and American folk songs will be presented by the Moving Hats on Saturday, April 3 and by Jan Peters of Gallowglass along with friend Kera-Lynne Newman on Sunday, April 4.
Children can search the Bunny Trail ($5 admission fee per child) for eggs and prizes while adults may prefer cocktails and farm-made spirits in the distillery’s tasting room
Of course, Bellewood Farms also has baked goods and an assortment of gifts. The Ten Mile Cafe has reopened, serving lunch and made-from-scratch cider donuts. A special addition for this weekend will be a pop-up store presented by Van Wingerden Home & Garden, offering flowers and plants to bring the feeling of spring home with you.
