When it comes to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, Bellingham and Whatcom County know how to do it right! It’s true, there is no place like Bellingham for St. Patrick’s Day (or St. Patrick's Weekend.) We have created a guide to all things Irish in Bellingham and Whatcom County. From local activities to foodie specials, we have everything to help you celebrate.

As the "unofficial" home of the Bellingham St. Patrick's Day Celebrations, we've got a great weekend jam-packed with live music, beer, and dancing at the brewery! 

On Sunday, we'll be celebrating St. Patrick's Day at the brewery following the Bellingham St. Patrick's Day Parade! Music in the taproom from Chivalry Timbers (12 pm), Lindsay Street (2:30 pm), The Moving Hats (4 pm), and The Devillies (6 pm) with Irish dancers and the Pipes and Drums band throughout the day. 

Head to the beer garden following the parade to enjoy music from Rosin & Reed (1 pm) and The Dublin Letters (5 pm, $10 suggested donation)! For more details visit: https://www.bbaybrewery.com/events#/events

Playing straight from the songbook of The Pogues, Bottle of Smoke celebrates celebrates the wild life of the late and great Shane MacGowan. Singalong, dance a jig and raise a glass. 

Bottle of Smok features Gabe Taylor of Daikaiju on vocals! The Moving Hats are a Bellingham powerhouse of traditional music. Featuring high energy accordion/fiddle tunes, vocal harmonies, and obscure ballads.

Music starts at 6 pm on Saturday, March 16th, featuring openers The Moving Hats. This show is open to all ages, with a $10 cover for adults. Tickets are available online and at the door on event day.

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day at the Bellingham St. Patrick's Day Parade in Downtown Bellingham! Starting at Waypoint Park and making its way through Downtown, the parade ends on Railroad Ave outside Depot Market Square.

Whether you decide to march in the parade or watch from the sidewalk, all are welcome at this community-wide event and to celebrate all the ways we can make Bellingham greener! 

Participation is free for all.

Head the beer garden at Boundary Bay on Patrick's Day for a live performance from The Dublin Letters, featuring Robert Sarazin Blake! 

All ages are welcome, $10 suggested donation. The Dublin Letters celebrate the Irish ballad tradition performing the music of Planxty, The Dubliners, The Clancy Brothers, The Pogues, and some of the rare olde stuff. With a lineup of guitar, bouzouki, harmonica, fiddle, bodhran, and of course singing, The Dublin Letters play traditional ballads, jigs, and reels with a fair amount of good humor and audience banter.

Enjoy St. Patricks Day themed drink specials to the toe-tapping music of The Devillies, Bellingham’s favorite Irish-American folk group, as a part of the fifth edition of Folk Club at The Blue Room! The Devillies play an eclectic mix of originals and traditional tunes and songs made for dancing, crying, and laughing. 

Folk Club shows happen on the first and third Sundays of every month and are all ages! Suggested donation $10-$20 - NOTAFLOF
