The road to Artist Point (the final section of SR 542) and Highway 20 (starting at Ross Dam Trailhead) are both closed for the season.

Mocktails & Mosaics: A Spring Workshop with Deb Dickinson & Hela Provisions

Join us on May Day for an evening of creative connection and seasonal refreshment. Local tile artist Deb Dickinson and Anna of Hela Provisions are teaming up for a hands-on workshop blending art, food, and community.

You’ll learn how to design, assemble, and finish your own mosaic pendant or keychain using a walnut wood bezel—designed by Deb and laser cut in studio. We’ll talk color choices, layout, and finishing techniques, and you’ll leave with a unique, handmade piece on an adjustable cord or keyring. Meanwhile, Anna and her assistant will walk you through three mocktail recipes made with fresh, thoughtful ingredients. There will also be a seasonal food platter to enjoy while you work and mingle. This is a casual, come-as-you-are evening—perfect for anyone looking to ease into spring with something creative and nourishing.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
