The road to Artist Point (the final section of SR 542) and Highway 20 (starting at Ross Dam Trailhead) are both closed for the season.

The Bellingham Dixieland All stars Concert

The Bellingham Dixieland All Stars will take you back to a time when jazz music was in vogue in and around our country, and even the world. It was a time of "Art Deco” style buildings, statuary, airplanes, and even the Kalakala ferry boat that plowed the waters of Puget Sound in the 1950s was said to be designed in Art Deco style of the 1920s. Welcome into the time of Louis Armstrong, the famous jazz trumpeter, ”flapper” dancers, "bathtub gin", Lindy Hop, Tin Pan Alley, raccoon coats, and the Charleston dance.

The audience is asked to join in the fun by dressing in the 1920s clothes when they attend. Audience participation is employed on some songs, and you can even join in with the dancers doing the Charleston dance. There is an instrument that you have never ever seen, and music played by players that can recreate the 20’s sound. In short, the concert will be filled with surprises and things that are unique to the 1920’s.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
