The Jr. Ski to Sea Race is a youth team relay event for participants ages 8–18, aiming to introduce them to the diverse outdoor recreational activities unique to Whatcom County.
Scheduled for May 10, 2025, it includes four legs: downhill skiing/snowboarding at Mt. Baker, running, biking, and kayaking at Lake Padden. Teams consist of 2-4 members, and participants can compete in up to two legs.
Divisions are based on school grades: Elementary (3rd–5th), Middle School (6th–8th), and High School (9th–12th), with male, female, and mixed-gender categories.
