The road to Artist Point (the final section of SR 542) and Highway 20 (starting at Ross Dam Trailhead) are both closed for the season.

Live Music: Aperatonic Trio

Aperatonic Trio emerged from a shared curiosity and enthusiasm for free improvisation and collective composition and has developed into a unique voice. Their music flows organically through textures and intensities, at times delicate, convivial, groovy, boisterous. They approach original compositions and other contemporary works with their characteristic nuanced style, spontaneously taking tunes into new and unexpected places.

As individuals, they have toured the US and Europe and performed in various combinations together with Pacific northwest groups including The Unknowns, Nuages and Lulu Swing. They find joy and musical inspiration in cookbooks, each other and sharing a laugh after a good improvisation. Marceline Keene, guitar Sarah Yates, bass Melanie Sehman, drums.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
