The road to Artist Point (the final section of SR 542) and Highway 20 (starting at Ross Dam Trailhead) are both closed for the season.

Cinder Well, Drowse

Cinder Well is the musical project of California-based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Amelia Baker. Known for her distinctive vocals, Baker’s compositions blend cinematic soundscapes with surreal lyricism, drawing on influences from traditional music, ballads, and doom metal. The music unfolds at its own deliberate pace, with tension building in ways reminiscent of bands like Bell Witch. Rather than relying on distortion, the weight and resonance of Cinder Well's music comes from its deep lyricism and expansive arrangements.

”A crimson glow surrounds the dark undercurrent of Cinder Well that only grows brighter as the music goes deeper into the unknown.” - NPR

“At times dappled in California sun, there’s also a glimpse of harsh reality underneath.” - Clash

”Cadence consistently finds the dark places and, rather than bring them to light, finds beauty in them.” - No Depression

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
