The road to Artist Point (the final section of SR 542) and Highway 20 (starting at Ross Dam Trailhead) are both closed for the season.

The B'ham Swing Jam

An event dedicated to breaking down barriers and creating collaboration between artists of all perceived skill levels, across heritage jazz idioms. The event caters to vernacular dancers, with workshops in heritage jazz dance, tap dance, and other street dances. Classes and events will emphasize jams, including lots of spaces/times in which jams can happen, with workshops teaching skills necessary for participating.

This event features a Beginner Track for new dancers, Intermediate/Advanced classes in each dance style, as well as a special Youth Track for dancers age 10-17. Evening social dance parties will feature live bands, dance battles, showcases, and, of course, jams.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
