The road to Artist Point (the final section of SR 542) and Highway 20 (starting at Ross Dam Trailhead) are both closed for the season.

Queer Campfire: Wild Whatcom

Join us for a healing time outdoors as we reflect on our year and set intentions for the new year ahead. This is a queer affinity space to build local community by sharing food and cocoa with new friends around a toasty campfire! We will bring s'mores supplies and hot cocoa, but if you’d like to bring a favorite food or drink to share, whether store bought or home-made, the more the better!

Out and About is a once monthly program BY and FOR queer people in Whatcom County to get outside and build local community with other nature loving folks! Online registration is required to receive driving directions, but donations are not required to register. Learn more or register at www.wildwhatcom.org/out-and-about

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
