Travelogue: Winter Wildlife Photography of Northern Japan

Join Bellingham Parks & Recreation for a presentation with guest speaker Greg Green in the Rotunda Room of Old City Hall. 

Take a virtual trip with wildlife ecologist and nature photographer Greg Green as he travels to frozen Japan to photograph Japanese snow macaques bathing and grooming in the hot springs of Honshu and then on to Hokkaido Island where he photographed flights of Japanese Red-crowned Cranes coming in to feed in the mornings, Red Foxes slinking around for mice, Ezo Sika Deer bulls lying about the ocean edge, Blakiston’s Owls catching fish at 3 am and -3 degrees, Whooper Swans concentrating in the warm springs along Lake Kussharo, and Steller and White-tailed Sea Eagles hunting the sea ice packs off shore of Rausu.
