The road to Artist Point (the final section of SR 542) and Highway 20 (starting at Ross Dam Trailhead) are both closed for the season.

Date Night @ MUD

Grab your best friend, parent, child or significant other and join us for a 2 hour hand building class at MUD! While this workshop is called Date Night, it’s certainly not restricted to romantic couples.

No experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. Along with your partner, you’ll learn the fundamentals of hand building and together you’ll craft a heart-shaped bowl… Then, you’ll decorate your piece with underglaze (the acrylic paint of the pottery world) and end up with a truly unique treasure reflecting your combined creativity and shared experience.

Class concludes with a debrief and 15 minutes of shared cleaning. MUD Ceramics Studio will fire your pieces for you and we’ll email you when they’re ready to be picked up, generally around 3-4 weeks after the class. Pieces created in this class will NOT be ready for pickup until January 2025.

Starts: December 13, 2024

Time: 6 - 8 p.m.

Admission: $150 (Admits 2)

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
