The Twins and Kitty Pumpkin Children’s Book Signing Event at Village Books

Self-published, local author, Laurie Noelle, and local illustrator, Sharon Beth, will be available to sign books on Saturday, July 13th at Village Books in Bellingham. This children’s picture book series is – uniquely – about Human Rights! Could these early issues become collector’s items? The author is determined to sell the series worldwide!

The Twins and Kitty Pumpkin is a series of nine books (the first three of which are published) covering all 30 Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as set forth on December 10, 1948, by the United Nations General Assembly. Great for kids ages 4 to 100, these books teach our human rights with poetic storytelling and playful, colorful illustrations! They are interactive by having children participate in increasing their own vocabulary and giving them a game to help them become a Human Rights Superhero!

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
