Diamond Jim’s Grill Celebrates 25th Anniversary on April Fools’ Day

Diamond Jim’s Grill is very excited to celebrate its 25th year as part of the Bellingham community on Saturday, April 1, 2023.

Originally located on State Street back in the early days, Diamond Jim’s Grill has been serving up their famous 10" pancakes since 1998. Over the years it has grown into a popular breakfast destination for locals and you can often see folks milling about on the sidewalk while they wait for a table on weekend mornings. The restaurant offers breakfast dishes, lunch sandwiches, and craft beer from its sister restaurant The North Fork Brewery.

Owner, Jim Green, feels “very fortunate for the great employees and supportive customers” who have been part of the past 25 years. Especially his right-hand woman, Sheryl Johnson. She manages the diner seamlessly and has been with him since the very beginning. Sheryl’s become the face of the establishment, greeting customers with a warm smile and a hot cup of coffee.

Diamond Jim’s Grill officially turns 25 years old on April 1, 2023 but will be celebrating throughout the month of April. Join them for food specials and a custom brewed Coffee Breakfast Stout on-tap from The North Fork. Offerings will include a Pomegranate Mimosa, Cinnamon Roll French Toast, and an Asparagus Eggs Benedict.

The restaurant is open 7:00AM – 2:00pm, Thursday through Monday (closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays). In addition to breakfast and lunch dishes, Diamond Jim’s Grill also serves beer, cider, mimosas and micheladas. They welcome diners of all ages and are located at 2400 Meridian Street, in the Fountain District of Bellingham.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
