Are you curious about how Chuckanut Brewery generates the most exquisite tasting beer day in and day out? You, your friends and family will have the opportunity to see for yourself with the opportunity to tour both Chuckanut Brewery locations - the new Chuckanut Brewery in Skagit County and Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen in Bellingham. The Annual Washington Brewers Open House Day on Saturday, Feb. 25 is the kick off date for the first tour of Chuckanut Brewery's South Nut & Tap Room at 11937 Higgins Airport Way, Burlington. Tours will also happen that day at "North Nut" Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen at 601 W Holly St, Bellingham. Tours at both locations happen at noon and 1:30 p.m. and are free of charge. Come down to unearth the mysteries behind the manufacturing of some of the world’s finest brews. The Open House runs from noon til 3 p.m. Chuckanut brewers and representatives will be there to guide the tour and discuss everything related to the art of brewing Chuckanut beer. This is a unique opportunity to see Chuckanut’s hi-tech equipment and learn more about what makes Chuckanut beers award winning. If you are curious to taste the distinctive flavor of Chuckanut beers or smell the mouth-watering aromas, Keller bier (beer taken directly from the fermentation tanks) samples will be given to those 21 and over. This is a free event and a great learning experience for all, so make the most of it! After your tour of North Nut, step into the Chuckanut Kitchen where you can order fresh and local cuisine to pair with your favorite Chuckanut beer on tap! Or if you are at South Nut head into the cozy Tap Room for a pint and get some grub from Random Acts of Food truck just outside. You may even want to purchase a souvenir as a remembrance of the experience from the collection of schwag! Tours of the new Chuckanut South Nut Brewery will continue on the third Saturday of the month (March 18, April 15, May 20, June 17, etc) at noon. These tours will introduce guests to the new facility that began brewing in December 2016. With a brewhouse twice as big as the Bellingham brewery, South Nut has a much larger capacity than the small batch brewery at North Nut (Bellingham). The full service kitchen at Chuckanut's North Nut (601 West Holly Street in Bellingham) begins serving from 11 am every day, to guests of all ages with an eclectic, fresh local menu. Chuckanut’s South Nut (11937 Higgins Airport Way, Burlington) in Skagit Valley has an all aged Tap Room open every day but Tuesday.
