The brewers at Chuckanut Brewery have started a Namesake Beers series that includes beers uniquely designed by each of the individual talented brewers on the Chuckanut team. First up is marine veteran Rick Burns and his Rick’s Lager. Both Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen in Bellingham and Chuckanut’s South Nut Tap Room in Skagit will be tapping Rick’s Lager on Friday, March 30th. With Rick’s microbiology and brewing experience, he has chosen to make an orange style lager that has a good deal of hoppy orange flavors. Rick’s beer has a clean, bready, biscuity malt finish typical of Chuckanut beers paired with lots of pithy orange bitterness from the hops making it a well-balanced lager. Great with Mexican or Thai food, the orange flavors from the hops in Rick's Lager meld well with this type of spicy, tropical food. Rick's Lager is also a tasty treat all by itself. We hope you enjoy this tasty lager from brewer Rick before it runs out. You will find it at other accounts around the North Puget Sound and a few accounts in the Seattle area so if you see it, try it, it won’t last long. Stay tuned for further brews in the Chuckanut Chuckanut Brewery Tapping Rick's Lager Namesake Series introduced throughout the year.
