This captivating event will bring together the community in support of children and families in Whatcom and Skagit Counties, promising an evening of talent, inspiration, and philanthropy.

The Shine Bright Talent Showcase will feature exciting performances by students, showcasing their diverse talents and artistic expressions. Adding to the excitement local favorite, The Sweet Goodbyes, will take the center stage for a featured performance.

In addition to the captivating performances, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction, offering an array of unique experiences up for bidding. From exclusive trips to engaging activities, this auction promises something for everyone, all while supporting a worthy cause.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the presentation of the prestigious Hyatt Honors to Kathe Koruga, Multilingual Language Family Advocate & Family Liaison with the Bellingham School District. Established in 1997, Blue Skies for Children is a nonprofit organization based in Bellingham, WA, dedicated to providing educational, recreational, and cultural opportunities, and other essentials for children and families in Whatcom and Skagit Counties. We are committed to empowering all children to reach their full potential.

The new Hyatt Honors is a tribute to the unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions of Gladys Hyatt, a cherished Board Member and volunteer for over two decades. As Treasurer, Gladys exemplified the spirit of service that defines our organization. Hyatt Honors celebrates her legacy by recognizing and honoring individuals and partners who embody her commitment to raising hope and self-esteem in young hearts and minds.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
