Blue Skies for Children Announces Relocation to New Headquarters on Broadway Avenue

Blue Skies for Children, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing ongoing enrichment and other essentials to children experiencing homelessness, financial barriers, or who are in foster homes, is thrilled to announce its relocation to a new headquarters at 1310 Broadway Ave, Suite 2A, Bellingham, WA.

After years of dedicated service at our Cedarwood Ave location, Blue Skies for Children is excited to embark on this new chapter in our journey to positively impact the lives of school-age children who struggle to access experiences and other essentials vital to childhood growth and development. The new office space will provide us with expanded facilities, better visibility, and improved office functionality, allowing us to better serve the needs of our community. This location is convenient to downtown Bellingham with easy access to public transportation and plenty of parking.

"We are incredibly grateful for the support of our Board of Directors, community partners, donors, and volunteers who are making this relocation possible," said Caprice Teske, Executive Director at Blue Skies for Children. "Our goal for the coming year is to grow our program and increase awareness of our services. This welcoming location offers us better visibility and plenty of room to welcome clients.”

The relocation to 1310 Broadway Ave will officially take place on April 15th. To accommodate the move and setting up of our new space, Blue Skies for Children will be closed for business from April 8-19, 2024. We invite members of the community to join us in celebrating this exciting milestone at our grand opening event, which will be announced in the coming weeks.

Established in 1997, Blue Skies for Children is a nonprofit organization based in Bellingham, WA, dedicated to providing educational, recreational, and cultural opportunities, and other essentials for children and families in Whatcom and Skagit Counties. We are committed to empowering all children to reach their full potential.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
