Herb’s Cider just announced the release of their SAMBA Pineapple Margarita cider in 6-pack cans.
The SAMBA Pineapple Margarita is a golden white, semi-sweet modern cider crafted from a blend of dessert apples, pineapples, blue agave, limes and aged in Tequila barrels. The new packaging offers a convenient, affordable way for everyone to enjoy this tropical delight on the go.
SAMBA was conceived as part of a collaboration with Jenny Hagemann, Owner of Thousand Acre Cider House. A master cider cocktail mixologist, Jenny asked Chris Weir, Herb’s Head Cider Maker, to create a margarita-inspired cider for their cider bar.
“We were eager to collaborate with Herb’s and create a cider to reflect our customer’s tastes, as well as add a sense of fun in an otherwise somber time of year,” says Jenny.
Chris saw this as an opportunity to break the conventional rules of cider making, and blended the elements of a traditional margarita into the fermentation process, adding his signature touch -- aging the ingredients in Tequila barrels. Demand grew quickly, as it’s popularity grew faster than Herb’s Cider had anticipated. It rapidly earned a permanent placement on the lineup of Herb’s foundation ciders.
“What started as a playful one-time creation, became our newest number one selling cider. We wanted to make it accessible to a wider audience by putting it in cans,” says Tim 'Herb' Alexander, Founder of Herb’s Cider.
What makes SAMBA so popular:
● A light, effervescent, refreshing, no sugar added, low carb margarita flavor blast.
● Delicately balanced between sweet and dry.
● Available in 6-pack boxes -- convenient and affordable.
“It has truly been an epic year of rediscovery for all of us in small business,” says Shama Alexander, Owner of Herb’s Cider. “We are immensely grateful for the ongoing support shown across the country throughout the pandemic. Release of new products like the SAMBA are a
direct response to listening to our customers’ desires. People wanted more fun and creative flavors, but wanted them easy to pick up and take with them on their celebrations to enjoy with family and friends.”
The SAMBA is available for purchase online, with shipping available to states nationwide, or locally at Herb’s Ciderhouse. It will be on shelves in Trader Joe’s stores and many other retailers throughout Washington and Oregon this week. It is available for purchase at $11.99 a 6-pack.
