The Community Boating Center in Bellingham, WA is launching a new sailboat fleet for everyone this summer. Starting in June 2018, the CBC will have six, new RS Quest sailboats for new sailing lessons, rentals and summer camps, bringing a new level of sailing and learning to Bellingham and Whatcom County.
As a boat for both beginning and established sailors, the RS Quest enables both locals and visitors to experience the joy of sailing on Bellingham Bay. Equally primed for sailing, racing and lessons, the CBC is looking forward to providing youth sailing programs, public sailing lessons, and opportunities for everyone to have fun while gaining new skills and experience.
The RS Quest is a remarkable new best-selling sailboat from RS Sailing, designed to be big enough for an instructor and two-to-three students while small enough to handle easily ashore and afloat. The RS Quest provides a stable environment for both youth and adults just beginning the sport of sailing, as well as for those existing sailors wishing to move on to intermediate skill development.
Youth in the CBC’s summer camps, beginning sailors in the CBC’s intro to dinghy courses, and intermediate renters and sailors in the CBC’s private lessons can all enjoy the versatility of the RS Quest.
The RS Quest helps the Community Boating Center to give Bellingham residents and visitors a strong and dynamic sailing experience and to inspire and educate each sailor to enjoy the sport for a lifetime.
The Community Boating Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to fostering small-watercraft education, access, safe recreation, and marine stewardship on Bellingham Bay. Visit boatingcenter.org to learn more, to get into an RS Quest this summer, and to seize the Bay.
