LAKE PADDEN PARK TRAIL

There is so much to do at Lake Padden Park! This 745 acre picturesque park provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities including; hiking, biking, running, paddling, swimming, horseback riding and even golfing. Experience the sights and sounds of nature while hiking through an established urban forest.  Meander along the lakeside trail and take in the local wildlife. A boat launch is available on the east entrance of the park for those wishing to explore the park from the water. For the athletic crowd there are multi-use ball fields, pickleball and an 205 acre award-winning 18 hole championship golf course.  Established in 1972, Lake Padden is a hidden gem located on the south side of Bellingham.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
