ARCHER ALE HOUSE

Call 360-647-7002
1212 10th Street, Bellingham, WA 98225

The Archer Ale House is a classic Irish pub that is one of the oldest restaurants in Bellingham. It was established in 1992 and was actually the first restaurant in Whatcom county that didn't allow smoking inside. The original owner was a smoker himself, but he believed that the smell of smoke ruined the flavor of the fancy European beers that he was importing. Since then it has evolved into one of the best restaurants in Bellingham with a scratch made menu of elevated pub fare with classic standbys like Bangers & Mash and Shepherd's Pie alongside local seafood and engaging specials. With so many restaurants moving towards pre-prepared and processed food, Archer's stands out for its commitment to making real food from scratch and it is easy to taste the difference.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
