Chanterelle Trail Hike With the Sierra Club

To attend this event, follow the provided website link to register and obtain detailed information.

Join the Mount Baker Sierra Club for a hike up the Chanterelle Trail! This is a beautiful trail at any time of year, with views of Lake Whatcom on clear days and lots of opportunities to observe native plants, fungi, birds, and other wildlife. We’ll take our time meandering up to the Lake Whatcom Overlook, stopping along the way to admire any interesting nature we come across.

The purpose of this outing is to support the Sierra Club's mission. You do not need to be a member of the Sierra Club to join us, yet we highly encourage you to show your support.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
