Pride Paddle Out

The Community Boating Center is hosting these paddling gatherings as an on-water celebration space for our LGBTQIA2S+ community. This is a place where people can explore new or existing paddle skills and experience the beautiful bay. Try paddle boarding, kayaking or rowing! We now have 2 Mega SUPs that can fit 10 people on each! (or like, 5 people and 3 dogs!)

Find balance with friends, new and old. We hope it promotes better balance, on your boat and in your lives. No experience needed, but be ready to be out on the water most of the time! Use of craft type is dependent on that day's availability and on a first come-first serve basis. Rowing may or may not be available, make sure to let us know you are interested on your booking!

Ages 18+ and all abilities welcome!

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
