Sucia Island Day Adventure

Catch a ride with Island Opportunity Charters to Sucia Island!

On the way you will get a down to earth narrated trip through Bellingham bay as we head up to the northern end of the San Juan Islands with a chance to encounter some wildlife. You will likely see Seals, Sealions, Porpoise, multiple bird species, and possibly Whales should they be in the area.

Once we arrive you can discover the beauty of Sucia Island, an 814-acre state park located in the beautiful San Juan Islands. There’s over 77,000 feet of shoreline to explore that is only accessible by watercraft.

We acknowledge that Whatcom County is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples. They cared for the lands that included what we’d call the Puget Sound region, Vancouver Island and British Columbia since time immemorial. This gives us the great obligation and opportunity to learn how to care for our surrounding areas and all the natural and human resources we require to live. We express our deepest respect and gratitude for our indigenous neighbors, the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe, for their enduring care and protection of our shared lands and waterways.
